Runaway Bride...into the dusk..

8 June 2015

My friend Moofy was heading down the coast from Brisbane and called in for a few nights..
We didn't have time to organise a bunch of other creatives to collaborate so after she and her partner
unpacked we had a late lunch and hit the local Salvo Store to find something for my concept..
She loved this wedding dress with its intricate detail, over the top bustle and endless train, so sad though,

it would have been someone's pride and joy for their greatest day, but we gave it new life in this shoot.
After the make up was completed, with her artistic partner smudging the mascara for the effect we wanted, saving Moofy from

getting dirty fingers, we raced out just in time to just catch the setting sun...
Sometimes I think if we had more time the shot may have been better without the fence but with no time to loose, I feel the fence now

represents the division in the character's life.

Moofy is a great model, instantly going into character of the emotional runaway bride..

a few frames and the sun was gone...

We then wandered to capture the great light that is available after the sun stops causing such harsh contrasts..

The last 15 minutes of the shoot were in insane low light, but the Canon 1 DX did a great job.
